Cantor Yagon couldn't love his wife. Having been sent as an emissary to a cold and foreign land, their marriage was that of political convenience, made worse by his preference for men. Following her unfortunate death, he is lost.

Darwin Norland-Brice loved nothing more than his wife.  The years following her death have been the hardest of his life, his isolation made even worse by the turmoils of being one of the only therianthropes in the city.

But when the two men meet, and a budding relationship starts to form, the cause of his wife's death is suddenly called into question, and Cantor's monotone life is plunged into chaos.

Was her death really an accident? What was the conspiracy that she had been investigating before she died? And when the core of said conspiracy seems to lie within the very mage's guild that Cantor belongs to... what will uncovering it lead to?

Solstice Eve is a gay,  romance-focused visual novel set in an isolated northern city during the dead of winter. With only one route, the story is linear, but choices made throughout will lead to one of multiple planned endings.

As of its first build, it's currently sitting at 30k words, with an estimated 6 more builds yet to come.

Solstice Eve is a solo project, with all visual assets and writing having been made by  Chmron, who you can find on Bluesky or Twitter.

An amazing first build~! 😁 Xou really captured the emotions of each character well and also did a great job with laying out the foundations for the world we’re discovering 🙂

Love the art, the pacing, and the writting. I’m eagerly looking forward to where this tale might go~ 😌 thank xou for all the hard work xou’ve done 💜

[SPOILER] Will there be any sex scenes? Coz I quite literally found myself going “Ahhhw! 😖” when the first build ended like that 😅 what a tease! 😐

Thank you! Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to be a bit of a tease here - In spite of the characters occasionally getting up to steamy stuff, I'm currently not planning on including anything beyond a fade to black here and there.

They definitely have their place in some stories, but full blown sex scenes are less of a fit for my current vision for Solstice Eve 😅

Ah, that’s too bad, was really looking forward to some werebear action~ 😋 Thankx for the response, and keep up all the good work! 😁

Discovered this hidden gym on New Year's Eve and what a timing for the story setting and the vibes it gives.

Cool premise and the world building seems very interesting to leave us craving for more.

I really like this concept of magic as a studied science rather than a fantastical, unexplained power, it really makes you delve into the dynamics.

Also, great written piece that Cantor is, could relate to him in lots of moments and I am glad I share his sarcastic way of seeing the world.

Looking forward to more!

The worldbuilding and magic were certainly a big focus of mine working on this, so I'm glad those stood out!

期待了好久,等不及游玩了。
